Get Your Fence Mardi Gras ReadyCarnival season has officially started. Even if you are not planning on going all out with Mardi Gras decorations, there are a few simple tricks how you can spruce up your fence to show that you are ready for the season. An old New Orleans favorite is simply hanging some Mardi Gras beads on your fence. This collection will grow as the Carnival season rolls along.

Since it still gets dark fairly early you also hang put some lights or lampions on your fence posts. Since it is Mardi Gras season, we suggest gold, purple and green lights. Did you know that purple symbolizes justice; the green represents faith; and the gold signifies power?

If you are still not satisfied with the look of your fence, consider putting some old Mardi Gras masks on your fence. Just keep in mind that leaving them out could cause them to weather a little bit.
